Conditions of Participation:

1. By participating in the Youth Science Ontario “Science Can Fix That” Video Contest, each entrant (and his/her legal guardian, if applicable) accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and to the decisions of Youth Science Ontario, which shall be final and legally binding. Youth Science Ontario will not be responsible for late, lost, misdirected, falsified, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. Youth Science Ontario does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information; technical malfunctions; human or technical error; lost, delayed or garbled data; or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software, web sites, or any combination thereof. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws.
2. All entries become the property of Youth Science Ontario. Youth Science Ontario has the exclusive right to publish or broadcast, in part or in whole, any video received through this contest in any and all Youth Science Ontario publications, web sites or video, television or print promotions or announcements, and in local, provincial or national media, without limitations, whether apart from or in connection with any other written matter, video, advertising or new item pertaining to the Youth Science Ontario “Science Can Fix That” Video Contest.
3. Youth Science Ontario accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by, or resulting from, the contest or prizes associated with this contest. By entering and accepting a prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, video and photographs without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of youth Science Ontario with respect to this contest.
4. Youth Science Ontario reserves the right to terminate or to amend this contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, Youth Science Ontario reserves the right to cancel the contest. Youth Science Ontario shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest including, but not limited to, any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software, or any combination thereof, as a result of the entrant’s participation in this contest.

Privacy:

Youth Science Ontario respects your right to privacy. Unless otherwise indicated, any information provided will only be used to assess the entries and execute the contest, including any promotion as described above. By providing personally identifiable information, you consent to the collection of this information by Youth Science Ontario for the purpose of administering this contest. Except where required by law, Youth Science Ontario does not disclose personal information to third parties.
