As part of the 2010 Science Rendezvous, on Saturday, May 8th, 2010, Youth Science Ontario hosted a mini Science Olympics event at Ryerson University for the visiting families and the general public. The event was a great success!
Youth Science Ontario would like to thank Ryerson Faculty and Staff, Youth Science Ontario sponsors including the Ontario Trillium Fund and Hydro One for their generous and continuous support. Last but not least, thank you to all the amazing student volunteers for your hard work and enthusiasm. Without you the mini Science Olympics event would not have been possible.
Our goal at the 2010 Science Rendezvous was to promote Science Olympics as a region wide event. Youth Science Ontario is currently aiming to initiate and implement Science Olympics in communities across Ontario where students do not have access to such science outreach initiatives. The event is a fun, educational and a hands-on experience that encourages team work and community involvement.
