Youth Science Canada exists to help Canadian youth develop skills and knowledge for excellence in science and technology, and is best known for its showcase event, the annual Canada-Wide Science Fair, which attracts the best young scientists from across the country.
This year the Canada-Wide Science Fair will be held at Trent University in Peterborough from May 15 – 23. Peterborough will welcome 500 brilliant young minds from across the country for this national event.

FIRST Robotics Canada (formerly known as Canadian Association for Student Robotics) was established in 2001 to meet the growing need for student robotics programs in Canada. Highly successful competitions have taken place in Toronto since 2002, and in 2005 an additional competition was added at the University of Waterloo. In connection with these events, FIRST Robotics Canada carries out team recruitment and support, competition and non-competition event planning, sponsorship coordination and fundraising. It runs training sessions and arranges for ongoing team mentoring by industry representatives throughout the year. It also recruits a wide range of the 140 volunteers required in running the events.
